Dr. Remegio Boiser is from Bohol, Philippines. He comes from a poor, humble beginning and worked his way through college by being a working student at the University of the Visayas, Cebu City. He eventually earned his Ph.D in Education. He became Dean of Academic Studies at the Cebu Normal School until he retired. Although officially retired, his enduring work habits induced him to work as a part time consultant and Dean of Men at Salazar Institute of Technology in Cebu City, Philippines until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Alforque Boiser, and also by his children and family from his previous marriage.
